Member Benefits
- Expert Forum
The EIS Association provides members with informal guidance on interpretation of the EIS rules; information and technical knowledge on the EIS; expert briefings on possible future rule changes; and information on amendments to the legislation once they have occurred. The respective committees actively and successfully lobby for change and improvement to the rules to great effect. Members have the opportunity to provide input to the consultation process and budget submissions, as well as put forward specific areas of concern or difficulty.
- Lobbying
Members are provided fast-track access to Government departments, the Treasury, HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs), MPs and key opinion formers with a view to amending, improving and simplifying the EIS legislation; representing members' views; and receiving members' concerns and complaints about the Scheme. Current initiatives seek to exempt management charges from VAT for EIS Funds and to lobby the FSA to lighten restrictions on marketing EIS Funds.

Members are automatically updated with legislative information and other articles of interest. Networking at member events is productive and enthusiastic, providing opportunities for cross-fertilisation of business between members and their clients.
