EISA Structure & People
EISA is run by a Board of directors, usually numbering between five and eight, chaired by Lord Flight. It also has a Council of experts in their individual fields made up of elected members who are consulted as to technical issues and any major or strategic decisions recommended by the Board.
There are three committees, comprising at least one board member and a small team with relevant expertise:
- Tax & Technical Committee – probably EISA’s most active committee responsible for consultation on technical issues, in particular regarding the rules of the Scheme and a key participant in discussions on proposed changes or new legislation.
- Legal & Regulatory Committee – responsible for legal aspects of legislative change and FSA/regulatory lobbying where this impacts the EIS
- Membership & Promotions Committee – membership activities, events, newsletter and networking are overseen by the M&P committee, which also spearheads promotional activities to attract new members.
EISA Council and Committees
Members of the Council are actively involved in the Association and sit on one or more committees. Council membership is voluntary but it is a responsibility and should not be undertaken without commitment and the ability to get involved in all relevant meetings and support the Association.
