Expert Forum

The EIS Association is the trade body for the EIS/SEIS industry. EISA provides members with a forum to be part of the wider EIS and SEIS industry and helps to ensure efficient working of the schemes. Technical seminars are held twice a year with updates on Regulatory and Budget issues. Bulletins are issued during the year if there are any important changes.

Consultation with Government

The Government is extremely supportive of the entrepreneurial economy. EISA has played an important role in Consultations with the Treasury, HMRC and the FCA to ensure that EIS and SEIS work as effectively as possible. Members are encouraged to provide input into the various consultations so that EISA can co-ordinate the views of members and give a unified view from the industry.

EISA policy engagement in recent years has been followed by changes to rules and legislation including:

Education and Training – The EIS Diploma

The two technical seminars give members updates on important changes in legislation and wider information on the SME sector.  As well as the Regulatory and Budget update,  regularly at seminars, there is a corporate speaker illustrating how EIS/SEIS has been used in practice by their company and other speakers covering topics of interest.

The EIS Diploma was launched in 2014 and aims to give an overview of the EIS for financial advisers and wealth managers who may not be familiar with the detail. Member Events

EISA organises three member events each year. As well as the two technical seminars there is the prestigious Chairman’s Reception at the House of Lords hosted by Lord Flight. These events give members an opportunity to network with other members and people from the wider EIS/SEIS industry.

The next event is The Spring Technical Seminar which will take place on Wednesday 17th May.
